About RiderCalc

What this site is

RiderCalc is a focused collection of motorcycle calculators — loan payment, gear ratio, tire size, chain length, and wind chill — built around one rule: publish the formula, don’t hide it. Every result page shows the equation it used and a worked example with real numbers. If something looks off, you can audit the math yourself.

Who runs it

RiderCalc is a one-person, ad-supported project — not a nonprofit, not a venture-backed startup, not a dealership. Calculators are built by an engineer with a software-engineering background who rides. We make calls to a mechanic and to a finance professional for review on edge cases.

How we make money

Three sources, in order of importance:

• Display ads (Google AdSense) on calculator pages.
• Affiliate commission on financing links from the Loan Calculator. We disclose these on the page and only link to lenders we’d try ourselves.
• Nothing else — no paid sponsorships, no "best of" lists for hire, no email scraping.

What we won’t do

• Auto-generated AI content. Every explanation is written by a human and reviewed before it ships.
• Accident-injury / settlement calculators. Those questions need a lawyer, not a number.
• Dark patterns. No fake countdowns, no popup modals, no "Are you sure you want to leave?" prompts.

Found a bug?

Math errors in our formulas are the worst possible thing that can happen on this site. If you spot one, please report it through the contact link in the footer. We treat formula correctness reports as critical bugs and patch within 48 hours.

RiderCalc estimates are reference tools, not professional advice. Verify with your owner’s manual, dealer, mechanic, or licensed financial advisor before riding or signing anything.
